This week, the girls at Hands 2 Help: Passage to Womanhood have been working on projects based on the work of Mickalene Thomas. The girls struck their most powerful poses to directly challenge the viewers’ gaze.
As the final project in our three-workshop series at Casa Valentina, participants worked with instructor/artist Crystal Pearl Molinary to create confessional videopieces to challenge how they feel they are regularly stereotyped by others.
